Youth Advisory Council and Family Forum

Children's Health Ireland is committed to engaging with our patients, parents, guardians and families through the Family Forum and Youth Advisory Council

Family Forum

The Family Forum at Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) was set up to provide a platform to share ideas, listen and work as partners in care, with our families, to make Children’s Health Ireland a world renowned service for children, young people and their families.

What we’ve been up to

Over the last 12 months there have been a number of meetings and we have taken the valuable feedback received from our families which is helping us shape how the family forum will operate going forward. We are now in the process of trying to recruit more families to join us and to plan our next meeting.

The Forum provides opportunities to meet other parents/guardian/caregivers/past patients who all have the same aim to help CHI deliver a service in line with our CHI mission vision and values where the voices of children, young people and their families are valued participants in decision making and innovation for the future in CHI. We want to establish an inclusive representation on the Family Forum that encompasses all voices across Irish society.
