Neurology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. A neurologist is a doctor who specialises in neurology and is trained to investigate, diagnose and treat neurological disorders. Neurologists may also be involved in clinical research, and clinical trials.

The Neurology Department at the Temple Street Children’s University Hospital is a referral centre for children with neurological problems from all over the country. The objective of the neurology team is to provide a high standard of nursing and medical care in assessing investigating, diagnosing and treating children with neurological disorders.

Your child may be referred to the neurology department at Temple Street by your GP, a paediatrician or a doctor in another hospital.
