Special precautions / Clinical Comment	Airdry for 2 hrs, avoid heat & humidity. Acylcarnintine profiling should always be accompanied by urine for organic acids. Clinical details required for interpretation and appropriate follow-up. Samples are batched and usually analysed 1-2 times per week. Urgent requests MUST be made before 09.30 and discussed with Metabolic lab on ext 4458. Plasma is preferred sample type if CPTII/CACT deficiency clinically suspected.
