Welcome to the Portering Services at CHI at Temple Street. This service is operational 24-7 and provides a comprehensive support service to other departments throughout the hospital.
Our Aims

- To maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- Co-ordinate the service to provide a safe and reliable service
- Cater for the special needs of patients, parents , staff and visitors
- On going training in manual handling, fire, health and safety

- Casualty
These services are available during normal working hours with a reduced service in the evenings from Monday to Friday. A limited service is available at weekends. Night Portering Services are in operation Monday to Sunday and this service incorporates the main hospital switchboard.
