Hygiene is a very important part of the hospital’s quality system and plays a key role in the prevention and control of Healthcare Associated Infections. The hospital environment is an important factor in cross-infection, therefore it is essential that no area is neglected.
Demonstrating the highest possible standards of hygiene is very important to us. Our patients deserve a clean hospital. Work to improve hygiene standards have been ongoing in the hospital and a multi-disciplinary approach has been adopted. This has led to a more pleasant environment, and also to a safer environment. We aim to further promote a continuous quality improvement culture in hygiene services that reflects the excellence of the organisation to meet the diverse needs of our patients, staff and visitors.
