Welcome to the Audiology Department. We offer a comprehensive range of paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments. We see both inpatients and outpatients from 0 – 16 years of age.
A patient may be referred by registered medical practitioners within CHI at Temple Street and other CHI at Temple Street based healthcare professionals, with the knowledge and consent of the Consultant-in-Charge of the patient.
Mission
Our mission is to accurately assess the hearing status of the children referred to the Audiology Department, thus facilitating improved outcomes for children, often in the areas of speech and language development, educational achievement and social skills. We undertake not only to provide a diagnostic service, but to offer relevant information and counseling regarding the type and degree of hearing loss and possible rehabilitation/management options.
