Music Therapy is an evidence-based profession that uses music to achieve health goals.

Music Therapy at CHI consists of a team of 5 Music Therapists who provide clinical Music Therapy services to children and adolescents with a range of medical conditions. There is a large evidence base to support the role of Music Therapy in acute paediatric care.

Our team of specialist Music Therapists provide family centred psychosocial support to infants, children and young people using music based interventions.

Music Therapy aims to help each person navigate their hospital journey and cope with their experience of illness, treatment and hospitalisation.
