St. Michael's B Ward
St Michael’s B ward is a unit caring for neonates and infants less than 6 months of age. This includes a High Dependency Unit with 6 cots.
Facilities
During your child’s stay with us you’ll have access to our:
- social work team
- hospital chapel
- parent’s room
Meal times
Meals will be served at your child’s bedside for:
- breakfast, at 8:30am
- dinner, at 12:30pm
- tea time, at 4:15pm
- supper, at 8:30pm
Young babies are transferred to this ward from neonatal/paediatric units throughout the country and on admission through the Emergency Department. The unit is also a referral centre for neonates and infants requiring surgery and the management of conditions including metabolic and neurological disorders.
