We have a limited number of rooms available for parents within parents accommodation. Priority is given to parents of seriously ill children, postnatal mothers, breastfeeding mothers and parents from outside of Dublin. There is a charge for this facility.
Parent accommodation is for the use of the Parents only, visitors and children are not allowed in this area. Unfortunately due to limitation of space accommodation can not be guaranteed. When you receive an admission date for your child and may require accommodation please contact the Accommodation Office.
The Sherry FitzGerald “Your Home Away From Home” project was launched in early 2006 to assist Temple Street Children’s University Hospital in purchasing a house on Fontenoy Street in Dublin 7 for use as parent’s accommodation.
The house provides, a home away from home for families from outside Dublin whose children are admitted toTemple Street, often with serious illnesses. The house on Fontenoy Street can accommodate two families at any given time for a period of two weeks. Those who feel they would like to avail of the house should ask the Parents’ Accommodation office at the Hospital 01 878 3000, for more information.
