Important Message: Changes To Inpatient Billing

From Wednesday September 21^st 2022, changes to inpatient billing, for all children under 16, will come into effect under the updated health act.

The key changes are detailed below.

• As of 21 September 2022, there will no longer be charges for children under 16 who are in-patient in Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street, Crumlin and Tallaght. We have no in-patient stays in Children’s Health Ireland at Connolly. 
• This means that if a child is admitted into the hospital, to a ward, they/their family will not be charged for their stay, regardless of the length of stay. 
• Charges in Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centre’s still apply (ED €100 UCC €75).
• This is an initiative of the government of Ireland.
