New children hospital information session held at Leinster House today (20/10/16) for Oireachtas members
Pictured at an information session held at Leinster House today for Oireachtas members about the new children’s hospital were the CEO’s from the three national children’s hospital with Simon Harris, Minister for Health, TD, Eilish Hardiman, Chief Executive, Children’s Hospital Group (CHG) and John Pollock, Project Director of the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHD).
The session was held to update public representatives on progress on the landmark capital healthcare project, which received planning permission from An Bord Pleanála last April. first phase of construction on the site of the new children’s hospital on a shared campus with St. James’s Hospital commenced in August, and the project is expected to be completed by 2020. The two Paediatric OPD and Urgent Care Satellite Cenntres at Tallaght and Connolly Hospital which also received planning permission, are due to be completed in 2018.
