Leo Varadkar, Minister for Health visits Temple Street
Leo Varadkar, Minister for Health visited Temple Street on Wednesday 10th June see ‘first hand’ some of the wonderful work that we undertake in our hospital and to hear about how we are preparing for the transition to the new children’s hospital.
The Minister toured the Operating Department, where 6.500 children undergo surgical procedures every year and the Emergency Department where 52,000 children are seen every year. The Minister also visited parents and babies in St Michael’s B Ward where neonates and babies under six months are cared for.
Mona Baker, CEO, Temple Street then presented to the Minister on the work of our Resource Group in delivering on our strategic plan and our preparations for the transition.
