Behind a Smile Documentary

The ‘Behind a Smile’ documentary will be aired on RTE this Wednesday 1st July at 11.30pm. This documentary will show case the work that Operation Smile has done over the last 10 years in Ethiopia for children born with a cleft lip and/or palate. Mr David Orr, Cleft Surgeon, OLCHC and St James’s Hospital, D8 will feature on the documentary. Temple Street is part of the Dublin Cleft Centre along with OLCHC, St James’s and the Mater Hospitals. Professor Michael Earley, Dr Eleanor McGovern, Professor Triona Sweeney and Anne Mc Gillivary from the Cleft Team at Temple Street have all volunteered in the past and have gone to Ethiopia with the Operation Smile team to lend their expertise.
